Dan Slott: In Amazing Spider-Man we’re going to see The Daily Bugle and the Bugle cast come back in a big way. And, no, it is NOT about Peter becoming a photographer again. It’s a new twist. It’s something we haven’t seen in Amazing Spider-Man yet. After 55 years, that’s a pretty cool trick, right? And it’s a development I’ve been dying to get to for a long time!
We have our complaints about Dan Slott, but I like that Peter isn't going to be a photgrapher anymore. He only started doing it to get money for Aunt May's medicine. Over the years, there were a lot of stories where "Spider-Man is in a different city since Peter Parker got a photo assignment." And that's about it, really. It's just how it was, not that Peter really liked being a photographer. Of course, "Gotta run! Need to take pictures for the Bugle!" was a standard excuse for running off when danger was afoot.
But now after SECRET EMPIRE people will unfairly hate Peter Parker. Because J. Jonah Jameson told them to, and why would he lie about something?
